The phpBB 2.0.x line is feature frozen. (Which is a good thing. ) Being feature frozen means full attention is on getting rid of bugs, and having less bugs.

The next big version of the phpBB software will be version 2.2, which will add _tons_ of new features and ideas forum systems have never seen before. (No, there is no release date set for 2.2).
